Assists with the development, review, and implementation of company Quality Management System policies, procedures, plans, and work instructions. Responsible for the communication of QMS requirements to all FMSNA staff. Provides decisions on quality acceptance/rejections if disputes arise. Responsible for maintaining communication with customers and regulatory bodies and reports any deficiencies and proposed corrective actions to the QA Manager. Provides input on quality metrics as determined by product test results. Aides all departments in root cause analysis and corrective actions. Ensures both the incoming and outgoing product conforms to both internal and customer requirements, standards. Responsible for internal QMS audits.

- Qualifications:
- Experience in working with Microsoft Office preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently provide support to all levels of employees.
- Ability to read schematics/blueprints.
- Ability to use various inspection equipment [calipers, micrometers, rulers, deep mics, bore gages etc.]
- Proven knowledge of quality control inspections, checks, and tests that occur during the manufacture of products.
- Knowledge of inspecting materials, parts and products at different stages of production. Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the shipbuilding and engineering field.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Experienced with ISO Quality Systems, NAVSEA, ABS, USCG, and commercial standards.
- Working knowledge of military standards, including the requirements of the NAVSEA Standard Items.
- Level III Quality Inspection Certificate or Level II with working knowledge/prior experience with NDT, MT, PT, VT, UT, and RT.
- 3-5 years of QA/Safety experience preferred.
