Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
Facilitate transition of the project from the company's sales to internal company's cross functional team
- Arrange and lead project kick off meeting as part of that transition. Issue notes.
- Become the face of the company to customer from that transition through project shipment
- Creates project spec
Be the internal “process manager” owning and maintaining an accurate WIP machine summary list
- Keep update the WIP schedule including notes
- Create and maintain key project milestones
- Establish clear ownership of tasks
- Push all accountable parties to maintain conformance to plan and issue resolution when not on plan.
Be the external face of the company to the customer during the manufacturing stage of the project
- Advise of progress when required
- Facilitates, documents and gains authorization for change orders when needed
- Coordinate FAT and ship dates with customers
- Arrange for Customer products to test if necessary
- Coordinate FAT activities and punch list items to ensure clarity and alignment are achieved
- Introduce Aftermarket Service to customer before FAT.
Facilitate transition of project to Aftermarket Service after installation including communication to customer.
- Lead project postmortem reviews when required
- Participates and contributes to the company’s lean manufacturing journey
- Assist in other areas and perform additional tasks as needed
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required or a suitable amount of experience.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office products is required.
- Become and remain proficient in all programs necessary (AutoCAD & Inventor) to perform the everyday duties of this position.
- Experience with ERP and CRM software desired.
- Preferably 3-5 years of project management experience.
- 3-5 years’ experience in OEM equipment manufacturing
- Prefer 3+ years’ experience in engineering design
