NSC Technologies has immediate openings for General Laborers, Power Toolers, firewatch, cleaners, and Trades Helpers for an upcoming project in Norfolk, Virginia. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 0-3 years experience as a General laborer, Power Toolers.

Stating Pay $15.00 up to $2500 a month

Essential Job Functions- Trades Helper, General Laborers, Cleaners, Firewatch & Power Toolers
Assists workers in the skilled maintenance trades.
Performs specific or general duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials and tools; cleaning working area, power tooling, painting, hand sanding, and equipment; and performing other unskilled tasks as directed. Tasks vary.
Position may perform specialized machine operations.
Performs maintenance and minor repairs to various machines under supervision.
May make local pick up and deliveries of supplies, company equipment, material, paint, lag, surface preparation, and minor facilities maintenance.
Check and return tools from the tool room.
Assists in receipt and inventory of material, tools, and equipment.
Ability to perform basic tasks by applying knowledge and using essential hand and portable power tools.
Ability to perform multiple tasking and meet critical deadlines.
Must provide own hand tools. Essential hand tools (hammers, wrenches, pliers, saws, etc.);
Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes.
The job will determine the exact weight requirements, but at least 30 lbs.
Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions, and in confined spaces.
Able to perform other duties as required, which may involve high heat, humidity, noise, and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels. May ride ships at sea for extended periods. It may require wearing a respirator.
Most work is performed aboard ships or in other industrial/commercial locations.
May be exposed to fumes and irritants, including welding/burning fumes, paints, oils, greases, and various cleaning solutions and solvents, noise, high heat, and humidity hazards while wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Solve problems of limited scope and complexity. Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisors, coworkers assigned to the tasks, and customer personnel.
