Painter Blasters


Apply coatings through conventional, airless, and plural spray systems.
Apply paint with brush and roll
Operate various types of equipment such as blast pots and spray guns
Knowledge of various painting methods and applications
Spray with the consistent millage
Knowledge of various blasts
Prepare surfaces
Mix paints to desired colors and consistencies.
Understanding or reading of drawings and/or blueprints
Safe operation of construction tools and equipment
Grinding, sanding, and polishing
Painting, caulking, and sealing Direct blast of abrasive-laden compressed air or water against metal or hard-composition objects to remove adhering scale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt to impart even finish
Maintain control of blasting hose at all times
Successfully manipulate safety controls and adjust controls on equipment to regulate pressure and amount of abrasive blast
Operate blasting pot when hose burst, gasket failure, switch malfunction, or any other problem occurs
Apply masking materials to protect designated areas from the abrasive finish
Perform service and maintenance
Operate conventional spray systems, airless spray systems, and plural spray systems
Apply paint with brush and roll
Apply epoxy, polyurethane, and high solids coatings
Proficient in the application and use of plural spray systems preferred
work on Pearl Harbor ( Must be DBIDS Approved ) and commercial yards.
Must have at least 3 years of shipyard experience .
Must be able to work 7 days a week if needed and overtime
Flights will be booked upon approval by BM Chris Alvarez
Employee Must complete assignment with no issues .
Hotel and transportation are not included
Painter/ blasters must have basic hand tools
Valid Driver License in hand
Must be able to work in tight spaces
Full PPE
