Position Summary:
The ITD is seeking IT Project Managers to bring an agility culture and agile processes to the Project Management Office and manage complex technology projects spanning one or more business units. The Project Managers will stage gate projects and institute SDLC control guidelines, including the management of issues, risks, and project change requests. They will also coordinate timelines, develop and maintain project plans, and communicate project status to clients, project sponsors and senior management. In addition, they will work with the IT PMO Manager to institute criteria for requirements scoping, establish scalable planning practices, and lead the execution of large- and small-scale IT projects according to strategic direction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Promote good working relationships across projects, and, cultivate the people skills needed to develop trust and communication among all project stakeholders.
- Oversee the conception, implementation and analysis of large and small, enterprise software applications projects using recognized project management methodologies.
- Coordinate and prioritize project tasks, manage timelines, project resource management, maintain project plans, assess and address project risks, and communication status to clients, project sponsors and leadership.
- Create innovative solutions to problems to quickly identify vulnerabilities and obstacles to projects success (cost, scope and time; realized benefits; and, stakeholder satisfaction)
- Team with the IT PMO Manager to develop and maintain policies, procedures, metrics, KPI's and other measurement tools and techniques to improve project management, and, the delivery of consistently successful software application implementations, upgrades, etc.
- Create project plans to fit stakeholders/customers’ needs and deliver with-in budget desired outcomes using best practice PMO methodologies.
- Prepare, maintain and submit clear & concise activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports to discover potential problems before they occur.
- Encourage good project management practices, adapting their approach to the context and constraints of each project, and knowing that no "one size" or approach can fit all the variety of projects.
- Promote customer involvement & communications by recognizing that project success is directly related to satisfying the customer.
- Review test strategies and encourages the development of new test strategies for technology applications and solutions to maintain a continuous improvement environment and promote quality and efficiency.
- Lead project teams of various size and composition to successful project outcomes
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Minimum Education Level and Type: Bachelor’s Degree in technology, software, or related field
Minimum Experience: At least 3 years experience in IT Technical or Project Manager discipline; Software applications/ development, Networking, Systems Administration, IT Project Management or related experience
Special Job Requirement: Must possess documented agile training/experience and project related experience. Also, must demonstrate experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall and proficient in MS Office applications, MS Project, VISO, Adobe Acrobat Professional
