Job Description
Candidate must be able to manage and lead the Material Control and Warehouse functions in support of various marine applications. Responsibilities include some of the following: coordinating with internal departments in monitoring schedules to proactively identify and address any issues to ensure targets/goals are met; acting as a liaison between vendors/suppliers and project teams; handling inventory control, reconciliation and various types of material control/warehouse discrepancies; interfacing with customers to answer questions and solve problems; producing regular departmental status reports to management as well as generating month-end budget reporting; supporting all material flow activity at the facility; driving initiatives to reduce cost through labor controls, damage reduction, implementation of new methods and tools to improve productivity; etc. Candidate must have five (5) years’ experience in material control and warehouse management. Proficiency in using standard software (i.e. MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook) is required. Knowledge and/or experience in OSHA safety practices/procedures, government contracts, and/or using MS Access is preferred.
