Job Description: Work under the direction of a Quality Manager/Sr Quality Lead Engineer to perform audits, inspections, and perform preventative, corrective and root cause actions. Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment, and conducts quality assurance tests. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality methodologies and utilize quality tools to help drive continuous improvement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on the manufacturing/operations side of the defense contract business. Activities include: 1. Auditing/inspection of vehicle systems and processes supporting the manufacturing processes. 2. Interface with Design Engineering, Program Management, Quality management, and Manufacturing personnel to resolve issues and concerns. 3. Create Quality Documents that provide data to manufacturing and Customers. 4. Review of Audits/Data and develop preventative action plans. 5. Retrieve Quality data and communicate results/status with Customer and develop corrective actions as necessary. 6. Ensure Gage Calibration processes are being followed 7. Ensure Non-Conforming Material Control processes are properly executed and followed. Includes appropriate disposition of material.
Skills Required: Basic and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to handle pressure while working on multiple tasks - Strong Root Cause Corrective action skills - Strong blueprint reading/interpretation - ISO 9001-2015 working experience - Ability for daily planning, coordinating, follow-up, reporting, and evaluating activities required to inspect per drawing items manufactured/produced in assigned area/cell. Ability to ensure quality work and harmonious employee relations - Tech Problem solving (logic and reasoning) - Execution follow through and deliver on results - Ability to communicate clearly and professionally to all levels of staff - Ability to effectively communicate across functional areas in a self motivated manner to accomplish tasks at hand
Education Required: Bachelor Degree in a technical discipline plus 5 years of relevant experience or 6 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree (total 11 years relevant experience required without degree).
