Subcontract Admin Construction Supervisor

Candidates submitted must be able to use the computer to track metrics and build detailed spread sheets in Excel as well as perform all the necessary shipyard mandates. Excel experience must be present on candidate' s resume.
Coordinate subcontractor work efforts to effectively accomplish the requirements of the purchase order to meet the needs of both NNS trades and Navy personnel. Daily monitor/track the status of work, ensure contract requirements are properly followed, initiate inspection reports, liaise between interfacing departments, ensure all safety/environmental requirements are met, write inspection reports, and communicate work status during management meetings. Confer with appropriate Trades, Engineering, Quality personnel, or other parties to minimize the impact of discrepancies on schedules. Coordinate the resolution of contract issues between subcontractors and customer representatives and recommend appropriate action via written communication through Sourcing.
Ensure daily, contractors are working safely, all personnel have appropriate PPE, signs are in place and properly posted, ODCL logs are filled in, incidents are reported, tank tags are posted and identified, roadway closures are notified to Security/Safety.
Prioritize work based on production schedule needs and establish inspection schedule using the inspection call in system (CS-1018) to be conducted by SupShips and internal company personnel at each production step to ensure that all work meets quality specifications.
Ensure work packages are issued to support subcontract work, close out operation lines when lead trade, close out packages when complete. Review and request Hot/Cold work permits, change and update daily. Coordinate fuel depots. Coordinate the receipt/verification of material identified on work packages through delivery on the ship. Manage material assets; Issue tool passes for all material leaving the yard. Attend weekly agenda meetings and all other meetings as required. (Schedule, Progress, Critiques, safety, CAR) Investigate and respond to weekly Quality related reports in support of enhanced first time quality initiatives. Complete daily documentation requirements to support: Paint Records, VOC database, etc.
During the Planning Phase: Assist in the identification of potential subcontract items through historical data analysis. Review/analyze work scope details against established guidelines and procedures to determine if bid proposals meet expected work items. To include: Drawings, Paint Schedules, Purchase Orders, Packages, Procedures, Inspection Reports, NAVSEA Standard Item s. Interface with Engineering, Waterfront Trades, and Customer Representatives to capture the work scope required of a Subcontractor and then develop a requisition in SAP to allow the work to be bid in the open market.
